Building, not admin: How Inovara transformed its financial operations using Seapoint
How a 12-month-old startup replaced a patchwork of banking apps, manual payroll, and idle treasury funds with one dashboard.

Matt Roskill knows good fintech when he sees it. Years before Wise became a household name, he was sharing office space with its founders in a Shoreditch creative agency, watching them build a product that would go on to transform how the world moves money. Now, as Chief Commercial Officer at Inovara - an angel-backed AI strategy and innovation studio for the direct selling industry - he's got the same feeling about Seapoint.
"I had a little tingle about Wise because of the problem that it solved," he recalls. "And I've got the same thing with Seapoint."
The problem every founder knows
Inovara is twelve months old and moving fast. Like most early-stage startups, its financial operations were a patchwork of apps, accounts, and manual processes that quietly ate into the team's time every single day.
Every morning, Matt juggled multiple banking apps to tally balances across accounts and currencies just to understand where the business stood. Payroll was a tedious process of downloading payslips and manually entering bank details into Monzo. Even their invoice tool required the team to forward every invoice by hand. Meanwhile, funds raised sat idle in a current account because opening a savings account meant yet another balance to track.
None of it was catastrophic. But all of it added up. And for a fast-moving startup, every minute spent on financial admin is a minute not spent building the business.
Building trust
Trust isn't something Matt gives easily, especially when it comes to his business finances. But he knew some of the people behind Seapoint from his previous role at Tide, and that personal credibility was enough.
What happened after he signed up cemented it. “Youssef and Neil especially are brilliantly responsive. They’re clearly hugely passionate about what they're building.”
He's since introduced Seapoint to his accountants and recommended it to other founders. That's what trust looks like when it's actually been earned.
One view changes everything
The feature that made the biggest immediate difference for Inovara wasn't flashy - it was simply having everything in one place. All bank accounts, all currencies, one dashboard. A cash position that used to require a mental juggling act every morning now takes seconds to check. Matt does it every day.
From there, the picture gets sharper. Transactions are categorised and easy to interrogate, giving Matt a clear view of where money is going and how the business is tracking without having to pull it together manually elsewhere. Treasury funds that had been sitting idle are now earning a competitive rate of interest - visible from the same Seapoint dashboard, with no new account to manage. Invoices flow in automatically from connected inboxes across the team, replacing the manual forwarding process that their invoice tool had failed to solve. And payroll, which once meant painstakingly entering individual bank details into Monzo each month, is now a case of dragging in payslips and clicking approve.
"Just dealing with money is clunky," Matt says. "And a lot of friction has been reduced through the platform, even at its relatively early stage."
Why Seapoint feels different
For Matt, being an early design partner isn't a compromise; it's the point. He's seen enough of the team, the product, and the people behind it to know where this is heading. "I'm very, very excited about the solution and the problems that it solves."
Your startup deserves a financial home
Most early-stage businesses don't have a financial problem - they have a visibility problem. Money spread across accounts, tools that don't talk to each other, and admin that quietly eats into the time you should be spending on growth.
Seapoint brings it all together. Your accounts, invoices, payroll, and treasury - one dashboard, one source of truth, total clarity on where your business stands at any moment.
Book a demo and see what it feels like to actually be in control of your finances.
